facebook competition
To develop a facebook competition with the purpose of putting the unbooked.com name out there so further down the track when a marketing straegy was implemented the name would be familiar to people. Of course gaining thousands of 'likes' along the way was a nice added bonus!
At the client request, the main focus of this Facebook exercise was to be a competition to find the unbooked Face of the Nation. We planned the competition process to automatically upload your Facebook profile picture into our ‘Face of the Nation’ frame, when you ‘like’ the unbooked page.
The unbooked Face of the Nation competition outline was designed, developed and built on site, giving us complete control over the monitoring of entrants plus votes for each entrant. The process consisted of Facebook uploading the entrants profile pic, the entrant nominating their chosen charity (to receive money should they be the Face of the Nation weekly winner and/or overall winner), then Facebook users having the ability to vote through the competition app for their favourite Face of the Nation.
Weekly winners were awarded unbooked vouchers plus money towards their favourite charity and the overall competition winner awarded the grand prize, the title of the unbooked Face of the Nation, money to spend on unbooked.com services along with money donated to their chosen charity.
The competition was a great success with unbooked.com now boasting in excess of 10,000 fans on their Facebook page.
