To do a drive to obtain more ‘likes’ on facebook using an organic social media campaign.

strategy

We decided to ‘take a stand against climate change’ and use Earth Hour to boost the fan base of the Enjoy Lighting Facebook page.

solution

It was an obvious choice for us to take a stand against climate change and use Earth Hour as our tool to promote the use of Enjoy Lighting Flameless Candles. Enjoy had 1000 candles to give away and we set up a Facebook landing page prompting the first 1000 visitors to ‘like’ Enjoy Lighting would receive a flameless candle to use during Earth Hour.

The campaign was an enormous success with Enjoy Lighting reaching 1000 likes within an 24 hours of going live. We quickly sprung into action to change the landing page on Facebook to say we had such an overwhelming response and to thank everyone who ‘likes’ our page. We put a data capture device in to get names and email addresses of people who would like to be kept up to date with further competitions and promotions.
